May God watch over this lil girl
It is our 2nd night in hospital. 2 infants have checked out today. In there place now, are a 9 yr old and a 1 mth old. Across from jo's cot is a 18 mth old girl (Keng). She has been here for the past 2 wks. Fever, breathlessness, and an assortment of illness that her parents told of that i now cannot recall. I also learnt that when she was born, she had an array of health problems that the 1st time she went home with her parents was when she was 7 mths old! Needless to say, the medical bill was astronomical - $120k! Insurance companies refuse to have her covered as she is in and out of hospitals often. I can tell. Her father has been really friendly and helpful, dispensing hospital and medical tips like an old timer. My heart goes out to these folks. May god watch over this lil girl and make her stronger and well.

oh dear, it sounds so heart rending. I am so thankful that Ainsley is so far healthy and when she went back to the hospital for one day I already missed her so much, it must be really awful for so many months
Just for update, Keng's parents could no longer put up at the hospital. They've been there for 2 wks & their 18 mth old's not that ill, but not fully recovered as well. They said they have the same equipment (nab, suction, oxygen monitor, etc) at home. They had her discharged on Sunday.
