NDP Carnival @ Marina South

We left Jo with my MIL & headed to Marina South for the NDP Carnival. Had read about it, but this was our 1st time to the event. It was a showcase of the nation's total defense, as well as a celebration of sorts with concerts, fireworks, etc. We only managed to cover a segment of the total defense section, and I must say, 3 of us had fun.

We (including Timo) had a go at the army's shooting range (blanks of course), viewed and climbed onboard several of the vehicles on display. It was somewhat odd to see military vehicles reduced to kiddy rides, but we went onboard one nonetheless. There were several stations for rides military vehicles, but only 1 for the fire truck. Timo wanted this, but we persuaded him to abandon the idea as the staff at hand estimated the queue would take a good 1hr. We found one on sidpaly though, & the staff was nice to put on a firefighter's jacket & helmet on Timo. That was the highlight of his day :)
