I've just witnessed a crime from my bedroom window

I've just witnessed a crime from my bedroom window, but I do not know how I can help that poor woman. I was at my PC when I heard this woman scream "come back, he just stole my bag". I looked down from my 17th floor & saw a plump woman desparately running after a man. The guy's much faster as he dashed across the carpark & away from my sight. It's dark & I can't even make out their features & race, but I can see he's in dark tee & pants.

I woke my husband & he didn't know what to do too. I was deliberating if I should call the police, but stopped short cos I do not know if that can help, & how I can help. I feel so totally helpless. Now, I'm sitting here writing this cos it's the only way I know how to deal with this. I am very disturbed. I live in a pretty good neighbourhood (not swanky, but decent), & yet such a bold crime had taken place right before my eyes. I feel paranoid now. Am totally taken out of my comfort zone. My home is not safe!!! That woman could have been me. Just last Fri, I was out with the gals & got home about midnight too.

Should I not wear my jewellry, watch, etc out of my home? Should I only have say $10 in my wallet. Are my boys in any danger if I were to bring them out? I think from now on, if I get home late, I'll get Andy to meet me downstairs & to escort me up home. I'll feel much safer with him around.

I am very disturbed, & my sympathy & apologies go out to that woman victim I saw desparately running after her robber. The trees were partially blocking my view, but I do hope someone on the ground level heard her & gave chase.

Lemon on the Road

Luke's got a swanky new "lemon" to ride in. Real cute :)
Andy thinks so too!

Jo finds Timo funny

Had lunch with Brenda today, with the 2 boys. Thought it was kinda ambitious to take them both to town on my own. Was not too bad, though at the later part, Jo was very cranky cos he wanted his afternoon nap. Anyway, Brenda gave Timo a couple of Mac toys that she put aside for him. He loves the Hamtaro toys. Was playing with them at bedtime, & curious Jo joined him & found him (& Hamtaro) very funny. He chuckled heartily for a good 20 mins??!!

Happy 8 months Bella

Bella turns 8 months today, but I think she's way ahead for her age. For some time already, she can pretty much stand unassisted, walk with little help, peel stickers off, crawl really fast, & chase ( scare off) Joshua ;)

Biker Kids

Could not resist getting Timo & Danielle a mini motorised motorbike each. Danielle's having more fun on it though, cos it's more for her size than Timo.

Mischief at IKEA

Been wanting to bring Timo to the ball room in IKEA, so thought that this week be good to do so. Pa & Ma came along, & thought it'd be fun if Danielle & Joshua were to join in too. A big blooper was that I didn't check if there was a age / height requirement. 0.98cm was the requirement & Danielle was way below that. Poor lil girl looked disappointed as she watched Timo at play. But at the kids' furniture area, it was kiddies on the loose. They were darting here & there, & squeling with the other kids. I like some of the stuff here, esp. the camp-like bed. Gotta go home & plan properly - what can fit & what cannot. We'll be back. Timo & Danielle will make sure of that. They've already asked to be brought here again.

Baby Tan

Smally had a scan yesterday & we can see Baby Tan so cleary in the print out. The names have been selected. Raphael if a boy, Nathania if a gal ;) Hope the baby's a gal. My poor Daddy will have only grandsons if this one turns out to be the 4th grandson.

Baby F1 Champ

Have been trying to play my PS2 games, buthave not been very successful. Thought I can do so this week since I'm off the entire week, but I am so wrong. Only managed to set up everything, & barely played 1 game when baby busybody woke up from his afternoon nap, & insisted on taking over the wheel.

Lantern Festival

Celebrated Lantern Fest so many times this year. Last ngiht, church had a mini treasure hunt at night (so that the kids can use their lanterns). Treasures were lil packets of candies, but that was enough to make the kids go wild! Tonight, we were at the event organised by Agnes' condo committee. Timo & Danielle had fun with sparklers, until she burnt her finger on one of them.

Nosy neighbour

Just barely a day at home, & I've become the nosy neighbour. Heard some crashes from below my apartment, & saw a traffic accident on the highway. Stood there with the kids, for a while to watch the commotion. We've never seen such a traffic hold-up in the higway before.

Today with the Kids

It's really like some Nanny Day Care at my home, & I thank God I am not alone. Would not be able to handle so many kiddies. Didn't have time to get something done for lunch, so I thought it'd be great to have the kids make their own lunch - Pizza. It was an excellent activity for them too. Bella & Joshua wanted some too, but they could only look on.

SAHM-Taitai

Yesterday was my last day of work. Was feeling so damn
nostalgic. Had grown some tiny roots for the past 3 years,
& hugging, hand-shaking, & goodbyes with my colleagues were
not easy.

So here I am at home, having a 2 week break before I step
into my new workplace. For 2 whole weeks, I 'll be a Stay
At Home Mom (SAHM). Or as some have so nicely named it,
`tai-tai around' for a while. This, I cannot lay claim as
I do not have the economic means to be one.

In a way, it's good that my 2 SILs have asked me to help
out with their yet-to-be launched website. Keeps my mind
busy. Although, my dusty PS2 does seem much more alluring.
I had grand plans to blast some bad guys and to be a GT
champ, but sadly, cow duty (as Lin so eloqoutely phrases
it) beckoned. It's been barely touched, so I thought I'd
make up for lost time these 2 weeks. We'll see if that
happens... Gotta pick up Timo from school now.

Ice Kachang

I cannot believe my colleague actually brought everything to office to make ice-kachangs for us. Kinda fun to have that for tea break :)

Shark Boy

YeYe got Timo a snorkling set some time back, but he never had a chance to use it in the water. Timo's just caught "Shark Boy & Lava Girl" at the cinema, & he's derived inspiration from it for his Halloween costume. In his own words, he told me he will look "cool", but with a shark's fin, he will look "cooler". So,he's combined his snorkling outfit with a cardboard shark's fin I made, & viola! Shark Boy! Oh, & he's also decided that Danielle will go "trick or treat" with him as "Lava Girl". Only problem is, I do not think both Danielle & her mom will allow him to colour her hair pink.

Choo-choo

Am so glad the kids are still playing with the train I recently bought. For a moment, I did wonder if it'll be something that we adults found cute, but something that the kids found boring to go nowhere but in circles.

Andy put Jo on it today, & found that not only was Jo no longer afraid of the train, he could also sit on it (without someone holding onto him) for some moment?!!! It was quite nerve wrecking to watch, but also thrilling to see your baby on his own & on the moving train!! Next to try would be Bella :)

Tulips Heart Day

Was informed of Tulips Heart Day through Slushy's blog. Signed up for it last week cos I thought it'd be both good and fun to sell some paper tulips with Timo. It's on behalf of the Children's Cancer Society. What a bummer! Had to cancel it cos of our sore eyes. We've been so looking forward to it. Timo's been wanting to sell something on the streets. Guess have to wait another year, or perhaps, look out for some other charity events to help out with.

The Luge

The Luge is Sentosa's latest attraction. Opened just barely a week ago. We found out about this ride only when we were on the island. It looked fun, so Timo went with his Daddy for a go at it. Jo & I simply looked on. I can't wait for Jo to be a lil older. We can partake in all activities as a family then :)

Bedtime

Timo & his Daddy are wrestling on the bed whilst Jo is checking out his hotel cot.

Could not resist dressing the 2 boys in similar PJs. Timo tried to hug Jo proper, but could not bear Jo's weight for long. Timo's about 20kg, & Jo's half of that.

Red eye

What luck! Contracting congivitis?! And in the midst of our 1st family holiday too??!! Timo got it from someone, presumably school or playground. He passed it on to Jo, who in turn passed it on to me, Andy, Bella & Danielle. It hasn't stopped. The girls passed it on to Andrew. So damn contagious?! too. And in addition, I had to break some blood vessels in 1 eyeball to make the road to recovery more challenging??!! So for now, as Andy puts it, we look "evil". So appropriate too. We're right smack in the Festival of the Hungry Ghosts. I look like 1 of the characters from this festival...

Joshua's 1st swim

We had quick snack in our room before heading off to the pool. It's Jo's 1st time in the pool. Not too sure if he liked it. He looked apprehensive pretty much most of the time. Timo on the other hand, was having a very good time with the pool slides.

Checking in at the Shang

Timo's so excited & happy to be on a vacation with us. Jo fell asleep in the cab, & is totally obvilious to his surrounding.
