What else is there?

I am at a lost. I do not know where to take Timo this weekend. I did promise to make it up to him, to spend some time together with him (just the 2 of us). I'm always lamenting that there's nothing much to do in Singapore. Malls and movies are the staple. Of course, there's also sentosa, the zoo & the bird park (we bought the annual pass & been there only 2x). What else is there?

I stumbled on this website, but could not find anything that might be suitable. It cites the usual national attractions, and some farms. We went to one last year. It was horrifying! I think it was Farm Mart or something. There was a tiny section where miserable looking animals were stuffed into tiny cages. Stench was overwhelming too. Timo was terribly disappointed. He kept asking where the white fences, spotted cows, pigs, etc were. He had `Old MacDonald's Farm' etched into his mind. Anyway, it was an absolute waste of time!

The fire station tour looks interesting. I might bring him to one.

I will be taking ainsley to the zoo soon, tho I don't think she will fully appreciate the place for a few years to come. I hope we all dont' faint from the heat! ;p

get a hat for yrself & ainsley.

also, those battery operated fans on her stroller will do wonders. we would not have survived bird park in the sweltering heat if we did not have that fan for jo (he perspires like a pig & screams in the heat). came in handy when i was breastfeeding him in the park too.

& oh ya. have fun :)

Baby sections in major departmental stores, & baby speciality shops sell an assorted range. Mostly about $30 each. I found one in Carrefour (Suntec City only) that cost about $10. I bought it about 2 mths back & use it pretty often. Still works fine. NTUC Fairprice now also carries this product. It is lime green & yellow, & has a row of tiny bulbs in the middle (between the foam blades). These light up when switched on, creates some blinky patterns that intrigues him.

Ok thanks! Will look out for one before we go to the zoo later this month. Already set on the date and who's joining us. :)
